beIN Sports Espanol Quick Pick

Ramon Alvarez vs. Omar Chavez II: Saturday will be a busy night for boxing and beIN Sports Espanol will be one of the networks airing fights.  The first fight between Ramon Alvarez (24-5-2, 16 KO) and Omar Chavez (35-3-1, 23 KO) took place in 2014 and Alvarez came away with the close unanimous decision victory.  There brothers will fight in a massive pay-per-view fight next weekend that could be the biggest fight in Mexican history but first the lower profile brothers will look to secure bragging rights.  The winner of the first fight, Alvarez, fights out of the orthodox stance.  He has a measuring stick jab and likes to put his punches together and that usually comes in the form of a solid left hook and pretty good right hand.  Chavez is also an orthodox fighter an although he has a bad habit of leaving his chin exposed, in true Chavez family tradition he has shown a very good chin and has never been dropped as a professional.  He has a pretty decent jab and along with that jab he also throws a wide left hook.  His best punch is probably his overhand right which can do damage if it lands clean and he does carry more power than Alvarez.  Their first fight was very close and being that they have similar styles the rematch should be very close as well.  The first time around Alvarez was able to outwork Chavez and land the more meaningful punches and he will do the same on Saturday night on his way to another close unanimous decision win.
