Kauffman sticks Arreola with a stiff jab
Travis Kauffman vs. Amir Mansour: On Friday night there will be an exciting heavyweight bout between Travis Kauffman (31-1, 23 KO) and Amir Mansour (22-2-1, 16 KO).  The fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds but with the way Kauffman and Mansour fight there is a good chance it ends earlier.  Kauffman is probably best known for giving Chris Arreola and really good fight that some fans thought he deserved to win.  He ended up with the split decision loss but it was changed to a no contest after Arreola failed a drug test.  Mansour may best be known for his lengthy prison stint but he always brings the excitement in the ring.  His fight against Steve Cunningham was very exciting and feature multiple knockdowns and he also fought Gerald Washington to a split draw.  Perhaps his best performance came against Dominic Breazeale but just when it looked like Mansour would stop Breazeale he suffered a broken jaw and was forced to retire in his corner.  Fans should really enjoy this one since both fighters love to come forward and mix things up.  Kauffman is an orthodox fighter who usually isn't in the best shape.  He works behind a decent jab but his best punch is his right hand.  Kauffman also throws a left hook but it isn't a great punch and really the right hand is his money maker.  On defense though Kauffman has a bad habit of squaring up to his opponent which is part of the reason he often finds himself in exciting fights.  As for Mansour, he is a southpaw who always brings the action.  Despite being 44 years old Mansour still always comes into the ring in excellent shape but he will be fighting a man 13 years his junior.  Mansour likes to use his jab as a measuring stick for a stiff left hand but his best punch is probably his right hook.  Kauffman hasn't lost a fight since 2009 while Mansour is fresh off a loss but in this fight Mansour, who may be helped by a knockdown or two, will come away with the split decision win.

Cintron celebrating a title win
Kermit Cintron vs. David Grayton: The co-feature for Friday's PBC card will pit veteran Kermit Cintron (39-5-2, 30 KO) against upstart David Grayton (15-1, 11 KO).  That bout is scheduled to go 10 rounds from the welterweight division and Cintron will be a big step up for Grayton.  Cintron has been around a long time but last fought for a title in 2011 when Saul "Canelo" Alvarez blasted him out in five rounds.  After taking all of 2015 Cintron had a very busy 2016, fighting four times and going 4-0 with two knockouts.  Grayton actually turned pro a year after Cintron's last title fight and his best opponent to date was Bryant Perrella and he was stopped in the second round of that fight.  Cintron is an orthodox fighter who works behind a nice jab as he looks to counter his opponents.  Even at this advanced stage of his career Cintron still has a strong short left hook and a straight right hand that can do damage.  He has always had a good idea of just what he wants to do in the ring and that hasn't changed at all.  Grayton as an inexperienced southpaw who will be giving up 3-inches in height and 7-inches in reach to Cintron.  Grayton doesn't jab much and often leaps inside as he tries to land power punches.  His left hand is pretty good but his right hook is his most dangerous punch.  The problem for Grayton is that he is a very wild puncher and he really lacks fundamentals, something that isn't an issue for Cintron.  Even though he is much older and has taken a lot more punishment, as long as Cintron doesn't get caught with a punch he doesn't see he will get the unanimous decision win.
