beIN Sports Espanol Quick Pick

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Dominik Britsch: It has been 17 months since Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (49-2-1, 32 KO)  was last in the ring.  That fight resulted in a win over the over matched Marcos Reyes but in his previous return from another long layoff Chavez suffered the first knockout loss of his career to Andrzej Fonfara.  On Saturday on beIN Sports Espanol Chavez will look to make it two in a row against the unknown German, Dominik Britsch (32-2-1, 11 KO).  The fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds at a catchweight of 169 pounds and Chavez really needs a win to get some momentum going.  Chavez is a big orthodox fighter who loves to work on the inside.  To get inside you won't see Chavez use his jab and instead he typically leads with his head.  Once he gets inside Chavez does a tremendous job of banging to the body and his left hook is his best weapon, although his right hand can do damage as well.  The reason Chavez has been able to lead with his head is because he has one of the best chin's in boxing.  Fonfara was the only fighter to drop Chavez but he wasn't able to stop him, Chavez stopped himself by quitting on his school.  By now every fan knows that Chavez is not disciplined when it comes to his training but this may be his last chance to really prove himself and fulfill his potential.  Birtsch is also an orthodox fighter but he will be giving up a lot of power and size to Chavez.  Britsch isn't a very busy fighter but he does throw a very nice one-two combination and his straight right hand is a good weapon.  When he gets inside Britsch will put in some good body work but he may not have the size or power to truly bother Chavez and he has never fought a notable opponent.  This is a good opponent for Chavez to return and look solid against.  He will definitely show some ring rust, especially in the early rounds but eventually he will start to breakdown the body of Britsch on his way to a clear unanimous decision victory.
