Top 10 P4P Rankings

# 1  Guillermo Rigondeaux (16-0, 10 KO)
Some people are saying that Rigondeaux has lost a step and how scary it is if that is true.  Because if Rigondeaux has in fact lost a step that just shows how immensely talented he is, because he is still almost impossible to hit.  Rigondeaux is getting older and isn't usually very active but his next fight is scheduled for July against James Dickens.  Hopefully a win will force one of the big names avoiding him to step up and step in the ring.

# 2  Roman Gonzalez (45-0, 28 KO)
When it comes to excitement Gonzalez always delivers.  His last fight was a unanimous decision win over McWilliams Arroyo in April and while his next fight isn't scheduled yet fans are already eager with anticipation.  What makes Gonzalez so dangerous is that he can box and bang and always goes for the kill no matter who his opponent is.

# 3  Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32 KO)
Golovkin's last fight was in April and in that fight he completely destroyed challenger Dominic Wade.  While Golovkin has no fight scheduled for the near future he has verbally agreed to fight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in the fall of 2017.  While most fans were hoping that fight would happen this year no one will be complaining when it actually comes off.

# 4  Sergey Kovalev (29-0-1, 26 KO)
In the sport of boxing there may be no more menacing figure than Kovalev.  He doesn't just knock opponents out, he seems to enjoy punishing them.  In January he beat Jean Pascal for the second time and he already has two more fights scheduled.  The first is a homecoming fight in July in Russia against Isaac Chilemba and the second is scheduled for November against Andre Ward, a fight fans have been patiently waiting to see.

# 5  Andre Ward (29-0, 15 KO)
For a long time it seemed that when Floyd Mayweather retired it would be Ward who took the top pound-for-pound spot.  Instead long layoffs and fights against sub par opponents have allowed other boxers to jump him in the standings.  Ward's next fight will be in August against Alexander Brand and then in November he will face Sergey Kovalev and the winner of that fight may lay claim to being the best in the sport.

# 6  Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (47-1-1, 33 KO)
Alvarez is a boxer-puncher who seems to improve with age.  In 2015 he defeated Miguel Cotto and in May he brutally knocked out Amir Khan in what will be a top contender for Big Time Boxing's 2016 Fight of the Year.  His next fight is tentatively scheduled for September but no opponent is set.  However, most fans are already looking down the round to his 2017 clash with Gennady Golovkin.

# 7  Terence Crawford (28-0, 20 KO)
With the retirement of Floyd Mayweather America is looking for its next superstar and that could very well be Crawford.  Crawford is a skilled boxer-puncher who loves a good fight and in July he will headlined his first pay-per-view card against Viktor Postol, perhaps the toughest opponent of his career.

# 8  Timothy Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KO)
Bradley lost his most recent fight to the now retired Manny Pacquiao.  However, Bradley looked very good in that fight, just not as good as future hall of fame inductee Pacquiao.  No word yet on who Bradley will face next but it is sure to be another big name in the division.

# 9  Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KO)
The main reason Fury finds himself on this list is because he easily defeated longtime champion Wladimir Klitschko.  At the time of that win Big Time Boxing had Klitschko ranked number three pound-for-pound.  Fury's next fight will be a rematch with Klitschko in July and another win would really cement his place in the pound-for-pound standings.

# 10  Vasyl Lomachenko (6-1, 4 KO)
With so few fights it is hard to put Lomachenko on this list, but he is too talented to deny.  His most recent fight was his best, a brutal fifth round knockout of Roman "Rocky" Martinez.  Lomachenko really sat down on his punches in that fight and hopefully fans will get to see him try to avenge his only career loss against Orlando Salido sometime this year.
