Echeverria hopes to keep his record at one loss
Fernando Carcamo vs. Daniel Echeverria: February is not usually a great month for boxing and this year is no exception.  That is why when the weather gets colder boxing fans are usually happy with whatever action they get.  This Saturday the only card in action will be on beIN Sports Espanol.  That card will be headlined by a fight between Fernando Carcamo (20-6, 15 KO) and Daniel Echeverria (19-1, 17 KO) from the welterweight division and it is scheduled to go 10 rounds.  Despite being only two years older than his opponent, Carcamo has been fighting professionaly for four years longer than Echeverria has and in that time has faced the better opposition.  Carcamo has taken on fighters like Michael Perez and Petr Petrov and while neither of those opponents may be elite they are better than anyone on Echeverria's resume.  During his career Echeverria has been a knockout machine and his lone loss came in a disputed decision to Jorge Paez Jr., a loss he hopes to put behind him.  Carcamo is probably best known for competing in ESPN's Boxcino Tournament on the now defunct Friday Night Fights.  Carcamo made it to the finals as a lightweight before being stopped by Petrov.  Carcamo is an orthodox fighter who will also switch up and fight as a southpaw.  The best punch from Carcamo is his left hook but he will also land uppercuts from the inside.  While he doesn't have much of a jab that doesn't matter much because he fights from close range most of the time, which is why he usually takes a lot of punishment.  Carcamo has been down multiple times in his career and stopped twice so he needs to be careful against a big puncher like Echeverria.  Echeverria is a southpaw who has a busy jab he likes to follow up with a straight left hand.  Like Carcamo, he also does a nice job of landing uppercuts in close and neither fighter has very fast hands.  While Echeverria has a big right hook he is very undisciplined and when he throws his punches he tends to completely forget about return fire.  Even though Echeverria has faced the better opposition in his last few fights, Carcamo is the crisper puncher and as long as he can counter punch effectively he will win this fight by the way of majority decision.

Barraza will look to keep his perfect record intact
Julio Barraza vs. Edson Ramirez: Saturday night's co-feature will pit the unbeaten Julio Barraza (13-0, 9 KO) up against Edson Ramirez (13-2, 5 KO).  The two fighters are scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior lightweight division in what might end up being just a showcase fight for Barraza.  Ramirez has two losses on his resume and they came in the second and third fights of his career.  Since that second loss Ramirez has gone 12-0 with five knockouts but those fights came against opponents with a combined record of 49-39.  Compare that to Barraza's 13 career opponents who hold a combined record of  106-72.  Barraza is an orthodox fighter who has shown a nice short left hook and an accurate straight right hand in his young career.  Barraza doesn't move particularly well in the ring though and that has led to him taking some unnecessary punishment, albeit not that much of it.  Ramirez is also an orthodox fighter with a nice straight right hand but his left hook is a wild punch that isn't very accurate.  Also, Ramirez will back straight up at times which is always a good recipe for getting knocked out, just ask Marco Huck.  While this fight probably won't be as one sided as Barraza would like he will still come away with the win via unanimous decision.
