Zepeda will try to get back to his winning ways
Jose Zepeda vs. Jose Alfaro: Saturday night's main event of beIN Sports Espanol should be a good one.  It features a pair of power punching fighters who usually make for good fights.  They are Jose Zepeda (23-1, 20 KO) and Jose Alfaro (28-9-1, 24 KO) and they will be fighting in the lightweight division in a bout scheduled to go 10 rounds.  Zepeda's only career loss came in his last fight when he suffered a separated shoulder and didn't come out for the bell at the start of the 3rd round.  Before that loss Zepeda had been scoring a lot of early knockouts with his most notable win coming against Victor Cayo in late 2014.  Alfaro may not have the sparkling record that Zepeda does but that is probably because he has faced a much higher level of opposition.  Alfaro has taken on Humberto Soto, Yoshihiro Kamegai, Erik Morales, and Antonio DeMarco.  Zepeda is an orthodox fighter who obviously has a ton of power.  With that power Zepeda also has the ability to switch to the southpaw stance and finds success doing so.  Zepeda has good power in both hands and as a southpaw can drop opponents with his right hook or a left hand that he will bang to the body and throw uppercuts with but he can also throw a straight left hand that lands with authority.  As an orthodox fighter Zepeda shows a decent jab and a nice left hook and he is a little like Terence Crawford in that he will start a fight in the orthodox stance but will quickly switch to southpaw and probably fights better as a southpaw.  Although he is definitely not in the same league as Crawford and his defense still needs some improvements.  Across the ring will be Alfaro who also fights out of the orthodox stance.  Alfaro flashes a decent up and down jab but he doesn't move well in the ring and will often square up to his opponent.  On defense Alfaro is the type of fighter who lets his opponent unload before he throws any return fire and that may be why he has been knocked out six times in his nine career losses.  While Alfaro does have a solid left hook he may not get a chance to show it off because it should be Zepeda who puts in most of the work.  Alfaro certainly has a punchers chance but that punch won't come against Zepeda who will win this fight by the way of 5th round knockout.
