Top 10 P4P Rankings

# 1   Floyd Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO)
No surprise here, Mayweather remains the best fighter in the sport.  Mayweather is set to return to the ring on September 12th and in typical Mayweather fashion he will wait to chose his opponent.  Some names he has floated are Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield, but neither fighter would help sell tickets so don't hold your breath that either of them actually gets the fight.

# 2   Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO)
Rigondeaux still has the dubious distinction of being one of the best fighters in the world who no one talks about and who can't get on a major network.  Rigondeaux hasn't fought since December of 2014 and there is no word on when he will make his return to the ring.  Hopefully for fans of the sweet science, and for his own career, Rigondeaux moves up to 126 pounds where more exciting fights can be made.

# 3   Roman Gonzalez (43-0, 37 KO)
Not only is Gonzalez one of the most skilled fighters in all of boxing but he is also one of the most entertaining.  After dominating on his HBO debut the latest rumors have Gonzalez possibly fighting Brian Viloria.  That would be a very fan friendly fight and potential Fight of the Year candidate.  Other than a fight with Viloria, fans were certainly be happy with a rematch against Juan Francisco Estrada.

# 4   Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KO)
A purse bid has been ordered for a fight between Klitschko and heavyweight loudmouth Tyson Fury.  Klitschko dominated American Bryant Jennings in his most recent fight but in typical Klitschko fashion he didn't look amazing, instead just doing what needed to be done.  While the Fury fight should be entertaining if it happens most fans, at least in the U.S. still want to see Klitschko take on Deontay Wilder.

# 5   Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KO)
Ward finally made his return to the ring last week against Paul Smith.  Ward showed absolutely no ring rust after a layoff that lasted over a year and wasn't related to an injury which is why he was dropped from the rankings.  Ward controlled every second of the fight and stopped Smith in the 9th round.  Last time Ward was in the top 10 rankings he held the two spot but until he faces another elite fighter who won't climb that high.

# 6   Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KO)
Pacquiao's last fight was arguably one of the worst performance of his historic career.  Pacquiao later blamed that performance on a shoulder injury that many fans still question the legitimacy of.  He should be sidelined for a decent amount of time but when he returns look for talk of a rematch with Floyd Mayweather to heat up.

# 7   Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40 KO)
It has been over a year since Marquez dominated a game Mike Alvarado.  Marquez's injured knee is the reason for that inactivity but it seems like fans are getting closer to seeing the Mexican legend back in the ring.  Marquez may return to the ring slightly diminished but even a diminished Marquez should be able to provide fight fans with another electric fight.

# 8   Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO)
There may not be a fighter in the world outside of Floyd Mayweather whose name comes up in rumors more frequently than Golovkin's does.  It seems that everyday fans have to listen to talk about Golovkin and Ward, or Froch, or most recently, Timothy Bradley.  It really doesn't matter who he fights because he always gives fans a "big drama show."  No word yet on who Golovkin's next opponent will be but it needs to be a big name to satisfy a growing number of doubters.

# 9   Timothy Bradley (32-1-1, 12 KO)
Bradley last fought on Saturday night and he survived a scary 12th round to come out victorious.  Bradley was caught by a beautiful Jessie Vargas overhand right and appeared to be out on his feet.  However referee Pat Russell stopped the right at around the 10 second mark and Bradley was able to survive.  Bradley has had horrible luck recently and this is no different because he may now be forced to give a fighter he dominated a rematch.

# 10  Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KO)
This month Cotto took on middleweight contender Daniel Geale and absolutely dominated him.  Cotto was able to drop Geale twice before the Australian fighter wanted no more.  It was a strong performance and now Cotto has gone 3-0 with 3 knockouts under new trainer Freddie Roach.  If the latest rumors are true fans could see Cotto in the ring with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in late 2015.
