Top 10 P4P Rankings

# 1   Floyd Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO)
After five long years the fight of the 21st century is almost upon us.  The fight between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will not only break a ton of records but it will mean a lot to both fighters respective legacies.

# 2   Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO)
Rigondeaux, who is still trying to earn some respect in the boxing world, is still the unquestioned best fighter in the junior featherweight division.  The good news is that there are plenty of young fighters for him to earn some respect against, most notable, Leo Santa Cruz, Carl Frampton, or Scott Quigg.

# 3   Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO)
The fight that every sports fan has been waiting years for is just days away.  Pacquiao will enter the ring as an underdog but he is a live dog to say the least.  Not only will this fight reach historic status but it may also shake up the pound for pound rankings.

# 4   Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KO)
Most people thought Klitschko would easily handle the unbeaten Bryant Jennings.  While Klitschko did control nearly every round of the fight he wasn't able to stop Jennings or even make him taste the canvas.  It was a good performance but one that probably got many other heavyweights thinking they have a shot to take Klitschko's crown.

# 5   Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40 KO)
It looks more and more like Marquez's fight against Mike Alvarado will be his last.  A persistent injury may force Marquez to retire, and if Alvarado was his last fight, what a fight to go out on.  Marquez is a legend and one of the best Mexican fighters ever to step in the squared circle.  If he does choose to retire he won't have to wait long before the International Boxing Hall of Fame comes calling.

# 6   Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12 KO)
There is no word on when Bradley will get back into the ring following a disappointing draw against Diego Chaves.  When Bradley does make his return he needs to go back to the defensive boxer he was and not the slugger he has been trying to become on his past few fights.  If Bradley continues to try and slug it out with opponents he won't remain in the top 10 rankings for much longer.

# 7   Gennady Golovkin (32-0, 29 KO)
Fans who were hoping to see Golovkin take on a big name star will once again have to wait.  There doesn't seem to be an elite fighter who wants to risk there career by getting in the ring with the killer that Golovkin is.  So once again Golovkin will take on the best who was willing to fight him, this time its Willie Monroe Jr. in a fight that will take place on May 16th.

# 8   Roman Gonzalez (42-0, 36 KO)
Gonzalez, known by his fans as "Chocolatito" will finally get the attention he deserves.  Gonzalez will be the co-feature on the May 16th card headlined by Golovkin.  This should provide fans who haven't yet seen the Nicaraguan slugger a perfect opportunity to do so.

# 9   Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32 KO)
After losing out in a rematch with Floyd Mayweather and a fight with Mexican star Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the Puerto Rican superstar settled on veteran middleweight Daniel Geale.  Geale should actually be a fairly good middleweight test for Cotto in a fight set for June 6th.

# 10  Sergey Kovalev (27-0-1, 24 KO)
It looks like the politics of boxing may stop a fight between Kovalev and lineal light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson from ever happening.  That is a shame but there are plenty of other fights for Kovalev to look forward to, like a bout with current super middleweight Andre Ward somewhere down the line.
