Telemundo Quick Pick

Lozano hopes to look good on Friday night
Daniel Lozano vs. David Carmona: The only notable fight of Friday night will be on Telemundo and it will feature Daniel Lozano (13-1, 10 KO) and David Carmona (18-2-4, 8 KO).  The bout is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior bantamweight division, and both fighters have gone 2-0 following stoppage losses.  The orthodox Lozano won both of his fights by the way of knockout, while Carmona who also fights out of the orthodox stance, won both of his bouts with unanimous decisions.  Now the heavy hands of Lozano will face off against the boxing skills of Carmona.  Lozano isn't the type of fighter who is hard to find, he comes forward and usually stands right in front of opponents.  He doesn't use his jab very often and instead likes to fight behind left hooks and heavy right hands.  While the right hand of Lozano is a dangerous weapon, it is his body work that does the most damage.  Lozano has ended fights with left hooks to the body and he will look to go downstairs early and often against Carmona.  Unlike Lozano, Carmona does like to work his jab and he has a quick one.  Carmona also has a nice straight right hand and he usually likes to let the other fighter lead while he looks to counter, and his counter left hook is a dangerous one.  This is a pretty even fight but Lozano's body work will be the difference and he will get the win by the way of 10th round stoppage.
