beIN Sports Espanol Quick Picks

Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Rommel Asenjo: This Saturday on beIN Sports Espanol one of the best fighters in the world will be in action.  His name is Juan Francisco Estrada (31-2, 22 KO) and he will be taking on Rommel Asenjo (26-3, 20 KO).  The two prizefighters are scheduled to go 12 rounds in the flyweight division for Estrada's WBO & WBA titles.  Most fans are expected another Estrada massacre and that is probably what they will get considering five of the last sixe Asenjo opponents had losing records.  Estrada is a powerful little man and can bang with the best of them.  He is an orthodox fighter with a quick jab but it is his power his opponents need to lookout for.  Estrada has a good left hook and he loves to bang to the body but his right hand is his most deadly weapon.  As for Asenjo, he is a southpaw who also has good power, but he has never faced anywhere nearly as talented as Estrada.  Asenjo has a decent jab and his left hand is his knockout punch but he tends to get very wild and should be easy pickings for Estrada.  This fight will be all Estrada and he will end it quickly with a 4th round stoppage.

Miguel Berchelt vs. Rene Gonzalez: The co-feature of this card should be an exciting one between the heavy hitting Miguel Berchelt (24-1, 21 KO) and Rene Gonzalez (31-7-1, 23 KO).  Berchelt does have a glaring 1st round stoppage loss on his resume but that is his only blemish and at only 23 years old he has plenty of time to make fans forget about it.  As for Gonzalez he is an old 31 and has gone 6-4 in his past ten bouts, including, most recently, back to back losses.  Berchelt is an orthodox fighter who likes to bring the power.  He also likes to flick out the jab to setup a fast and powerful straight right hand, however, it is his left hook that does the most damage and can end fights in an instant.  Gonzalez has been knocked out twice so he needs to avoid that left hook.  Gonzalez is an orthodox fighter who likes to jab, but he will often leave his off hand low and get caught clean upstairs because of it.  The left hook of Gonzalez is also a fairly good weapon but he tends to leap in with it and he is the type of fighter who often takes a lot of punishment.  One punch Berchelt may need to watch out for is the sneaky overhand right of Gonzalez, but if he can avoid that punch he should have a fairly easy night.  Gonzalez seems to be somewhat shot at this point of his career and that is not a good thing against a power puncher like Berchelt who will win this fight via 6th round knockout.
