Top 10 P4P Rankings

# 1   Floyd Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO)
No surprise here, once again Mayweather sits on top of the P4P rankings.  It seems like a fight between he and Manny Pacquiao might actually happen and Showtime & HBO have began meeting to discuss specifics.  If that fight doesn't happen look for Mayweather to fight a rematch with Miguel Cotto the lineal middleweight champion.

# 2   Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO)
Many people tried to make a big deal out of the fact that Rigondeaux was dropped twice in his most recent bout.  The problem was that one was more of a push and at no point was he in any real danger.  Rigondeaux may get dropped occasionally but that doesn't stop him from easily out boxing every opponent he faces.

# 3   Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO)
Pacquiao has looked good recently but the only fight fans care about is a matchup with Floyd Mayweather.  While that fight may be close to coming to fruition if it doesn't happen Pacquiao is in some trouble because his backup plan is Jessie Vargas who really done nothing to deserve getting this fight and that bout would receive a lot of backlash.

# 4   Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53 KO)
Klitschko, the long reigning heavyweight champion has his next fight set for April 25th in Brooklyn.  His rumored opponent is American Bryant Jennings but after Deontay Wilder won his last bout fans are already looking ahead to a unification fight between those two.  While that fight won't happen anytime soon eventually it could be a huge fight for the sport and the division.

# 5   Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40 KO)
Marquez last fought in May, 2014 and put a hurting on the tough Mike Alvarado.  Since then Marquez has been considering retirement but the latest rumors seem to have him getting back into the ring.  Look for Marquez to have a farewell fight before retirement and in true Marquez fashion look for it to be against a top quality opponent.

# 6   Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12 KO)
Bradley's career seems to have taken an interesting turn.  In his two most recent bouts he has decided to be more of a slugger.  His last fight was a draw against the hard hitting Diego Chaves.  While Bradley appeared to win that fight he face was also badly swollen and he decided to stand and trade far too often.  If Bradley wants to get back on track he needs to go back to being a boxer not a slugger.

# 7   Mikey Garcia (34-0, 28 KO)
This might be the last time Garcia is seen in the top 10 rankings for awhile.  His last fight came in January of 2014 and he will be dropped from the rankings next month due to inactivity that isn't related to an injury if he doesn't have a fight by then.  When he does come back expect to see him at a new weight in a tune-up fight.

# 8   Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32 KO)
It seemed almost certain that Cotto would be fighting "Canelo" Alvarez on May 2nd of this year but that won't be happening.  Cotto did not sign the contract by a deadline put forth by Golden Boy head honcho Oscar De La Hoya and the deal is off the table.  That is interesting and may mean that Cotto has a good shot of landing a rematch with Floyd Mayweather on that date.

# 9   Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28 KO)
February will not be a very exciting month for boxing.  However there will be one night guaranteed to be exciting and that is the 21st when Golovkin faces off against Martin Murray.  Golovkin even has casual fans buzzing about his power and a big name opponent should be in his near future.

# 10  Roman Gonzalez (41-0, 35 KO)
Gonzalez is one of the most exciting fighters in the sport and one many people outside of hardcore fans haven't heard of.  He is the heaviest handed small fighter in the sport and fans are salivating at the tought of a rematch with Juan Francisco Estrada.
