Top 10 P4P Rankings

# 1   Floyd Mayweather (46-0, 26 KO)
Mayweather's rematch on September 13th with slugger Marcos Maidana is quickly approaching.  If Mayweather wins that fight it seems that everyone from 140-160 pounds will be calling him out but whether or not anyone has a legitimate chance of beating him remains to be seen.

# 2   Andre Ward (27-0, 14 KO)
Ward seems to be in a pseudo retirement and has been spending more time broadcasting fights rather than actually fighting himself.  He has sued his promotional company and now they are also suing him.  Ward's prime is quickly evaporating and if he doesn't get back in the ring soon he could become a story of wasted talent.

# 3   Guillermo Rigondeaux (14-0, 9 KO)
Fans of the sweet science are looking forward to Rigondeaux's future.  Now that he is no longer tied to Top Rank & HBO neither of whom showed him much respect the future seems bright.  Most recently Rigondeaux has called out fellow junior featherweight title holder Leo Santa Cruz which is a fight true boxing heads are dieing to see.

# 4   Wladimir Klitschko (62-3, 52 KO)
Klitschko will once again defend his heavyweight title this time against Kubrat Pulev on September 6th.  While Pulev probably won't give Klitschko much trouble there are a growing number of young heavyweights who could challenge the longtime champion in the near future.

# 5   Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KO)
Pacquiao's next fight is against the relatively unknown Chris Algieri on November 22nd and the boxing world is not looking forward to it.  If Pacquiao is able to beat Algieri as most people think he will then talks of a possible mega fight against Floyd Mayweather should once again heat up.

# 6   Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12 KO)
Bradley suffered the first loss of his career in his rematch against Manny Pacquiao.  Bradley did not fight in his typical manner during that fight and should get back to his winning ways when he goes back to his athletic boxing style.  Bradley has also talked about a possible third fight with Pacquiao but don't hold your breath for that one.

# 7   Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40 KO)
There is still no word on when Marquez will make his return to the ring.  He was very impressive in his last bout in May against Mike Alvarado and that win put him in line for another fight with Manny Pacquiao.  If he doesn't fight Pacquiao there should be a long line of young fighters looking to face off against the Mexican legend.

# 8   Mikey Garcia (34-0, 28 KO)
Garcia is one of the best young fighters in the sport.  Unfortunately he has been inactive as of late because of a promotional issue with Top Rank.  It seems that Garcia won't make his return to the ring until 2015 but when he does there is little doubt that he will continue his winning ways.

# 9   Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32 KO)
Cotto has been very impressive in his last two fights which propelled him back into the pound for pound rankings.  Cotto should be back in the ring in the fall or winter and although Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Gennady Golovkin, and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez all loom as possible opponents it looks like Cotto will take on Andy Lee before any of this fights happen.

 # 10  Gennady Golovkin (30-0, 27 KO)
It seems that Golovkin's name is on the tongue of every boxing fan due to his exciting knockout style.  After dominating Daniel Geale in his last bout Golovkin should be in line for a big time fight and said he can fight anywhere from 154 to 168 pounds if it means a shot at headlining a PPV card.
