It is now official, pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather (46-0, 26 KO) has his opponent when he returns to the ring on September 13th. Apparently many people didn't think Mayweather's defeat of Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KO) was decisive enough because the two men will once again do battle in what should be a highly anticipated rematch. As per usual for a Mayweather event the fight will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and should feature a star studded undercard. Fans will remember Mayweather won the first fight by majority decision and Maidana gave him his toughest fight in years. In their first fight there was a lot of controversy over what type of gloves Maidana would wear and he eventually had to use a backup pair. This time around the fight should be controversy free and while Mayweather Promotions chief executive declined to get into specifics he did say that "we have a document and if Maidana wants to talk about it fine. They won't be using no horse hair gloves, but I don't want to get into specifics." Regardless of what gloves are used it should be another action packed fight.
