The saga that has been Julio Cesar Chavez's career the past few years continues. Chavez Jr., was scheduled to fight Brian Vera September 7th on HBO but that fight has been postponed. Chavez Jr. sustained a cut above one of his eyes while sparring and his camp feels it is bad enough to delay the fight. There is no word yet when the fight will take place but Chavez Jr.'s camp said that he "can't have contact for three weeks." Being that HBO already has a full slate of big time fights in October, Chavez Jr. might not be back in the ring until November. However optimists might point out that if he somehow heals miraculously fast, HBO doesn't have any fights scheduled for the 21st of September.
