Friday Night Fights Quick Pick

Sergio Mora vs. Grzegorz Proksa: The main event of this weeks Friday Night Fight card will be a 10 round middleweight bout that could be competitive or could be a complete bore.  The more recognizable name in the ring will be Sergio Mora (23-3-2, 7 KO) who was made famous by his stint on The Contender television show.  Unfortunately Mora is also remembered more recently for a fight against Shane Mosley that put everyone to sleep.  Mora will be taking on the tough Polish pugilist Grzegorz Proksa (29-2, 21 KO) whose biggest fight came in a TKO loss to Gennady Golovkin in the 5th round.  Proksa is a unique fighter, he fights with his hands very low in a similar fashion to Sergio Martinez, but Proksa isn't as athletic as Martinez.  Proksa does have solid defense though because he constantly moves his head.  Mora could have trouble head hunting and should focus on going to the body early and often.  Neither of these boxers are top level talents and because of that it could make for an even fight.  But Mora has no power so Proksa won't have to show him any respect.  Proksa will try to go to work early and put a  beating on Mora.  I wouldn't be surprised if Mora looks tentative in throwing his punches and Proksa pounds away on him all night for a unanimous decision.
