BREAKING NEWS

Big time boxing fans who love a good action fight, rejoice.  The "Baby Bull" Juan Diaz is coming out of retirement after a 2 & 1/2 year layoff.  He will be fighting Pipino Cuevas Jr. on April 13th, in Texas.  Diaz had originally retired after his second loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2010 and said he was going to pursue a law degree.  However those plans never came to fruition, instead Diaz focused on JD Trucking; a company he started with his brother.  He will continue to fight in his usual lightweight division, but has plans to move up to junior welterweight in the future.  He wants to fight 3 or 4 times in 2013 in order to stay active and earn a title shot in late 2013 or early 2014.  Diaz is a former title holder with a record of 35-4 with 17 knockouts.  He has had many exciting fights, specifically his 2009 fight of the year against Juan Manuel Marquez.  Some of his other notable fights include, two bouts against Paulie Malignaggi, a fight with Michael Katsidis, and a loss to Nate Campbell.  Originally Diaz was set to come back in July of 2011 but pulled out of the fight a few weeks beforehand.  This time around Diaz seems to have his mind set on rejuvinating his once blossoming career.  For fans of volume punching, and all action bouts this is a welcomed return.
