PBC on FS1 Quick Pick

Molina landing a jab on Jarrett Hurd
Oscar Molina vs. Levan Ghvamichava: In the co-feature on Tuesday's PBC on Fox Sports 1 card two fighters who are both coming off losses will try to turn their luck around.  Those fighters are Oscar Molina (13-1-1, 10 KO) and the hairiest man in the sport, Levan Ghvamichava (17-3-1, 13 KO).  The two are scheduled to go 10 rounds from the welterweight division and both really need an impressive performance.  Throughout Molina's career which started in 2013 he has faced a very low level of opposition.  That was until 2015 when he took on the 17-0 Domonique Dolton and fought to a draw.  That was Molina's only fight of the year and in 2016 he took on the 17-0 Jarrett Hurd and got stopped in the last round.  That too was Molina's only fight that year and he hasn't fought yet in 2017 making it nearly 11 months since the last time he has been in the ring.  Molina is an orthodox fighter and while he isn't the heaviest of hitters he does have a very good left hook he loves to counter with.  Molina also has a decent jab but he doesn't us it nearly enough and that can be said for all of his punches because he isn't a very busy fighter.  At times he will throw an overhand right but often he spends too much time moving without a plan of attack.  Ghvamichava is also an orthodox fighter and he has similar power to Molina and the two fighters actually have the same reach and are the same height.  While Molina likes to shoot from the outside, Ghvamichava likes to work from the pocket where he can rough things up.  He has a stalking style and often comes forward behind a high guard but when he gets inside he puts in good work with his left hand, throwing a solid hook.  Ghvamichava actually jabs pretty well also and has a decent right hand but he is there to be hit because he usually stands right in front of opponents.  This fight should come down to distance.  If Ghvamichava can get inside and stay inside this fight is his to win.  However, if Molina can shoot his jab from the outside and move enough he could outbox Ghvamichava.  This should be an interesting fight where neither fighter every truly takes control but Molina will do enough to come away with the majority decision win.
