PBC on FS1 Quick Pick

Carlos Zambrano vs. Claudio Marrero: On Saturday the PBC returns to Fox Sports 1 with a featherweight title fight as their main event.  In that fight will be Carlos Zambrano (26-0, 11 KO) and Claudio Marrero (21-1, 15 KO) and Zambrano's WBA interim featherweight title will be on the line.  Between them is only one loss and that is on Marrero's resume and came at the hands of Jesus Cuellar back in 2013.  Zambrano is an orthodox fighter with a quick and stiff jab.  Behind that jab Zambrano has a very good overhand right but he doesn't use his left hook nearly as often as he should.  Defensively Zambrano is hard to hit because he has quick refelxes but he isn't the type of fighter who gets on his bike for 12 rounds.  Instead he sharp shoots from the outside and slips punches and is also skilled at making opponents miss from the pocket.  As for Marrero, he is a southpaw and will be the heavier hitter between the two.  Like Zambrano, Marrero also has a quick jab and he moves well in the ring.  With that jab Marrero has a very stiff straight left hand and on the inside he likes to bang his right hook to the body.  He is also good defensively so this fight should be very evenly fought for its entirety.  Both men work behind good jabs and both have quick hands and are strong defensively.  Zambrano's straight right hand is dangerous and so is Marrero's straight left hand.  This fight should be more of a chess match than brawl and in the end it will be Marrero who comes away with the close unanimous decision because he has fought a higher level of competition and Zambrano has been inactive since 2015 so he will be rusty early and give rounds away.
