Campa looks to remain unbeaten
Pedro Campa vs. Marvin Quintero: On Saturday night beIN Sports Espanol will air a card headlined by Pedro Campa (24-0, 18 KO) and Marvin Quintero (29-7, 25 KO).  That fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds from the junior welterweight division and Campa will be putting his perfect record on the line.  While Campa does have an impressive record he has never faced any notable opponents and if he doesn't start facing better opposition soon people won't care how good his record is.  As for Quintero, he is a heavy hitter with plenty of knockouts but he has also been stopped six times in seven career losses and his last three losses all saw him retire in his corner so his heart and determination are serious question marks.  Campa is a 25-year-old who fights out of the orthodox stance and has shown good power during his career.  Campa has quick hands and like to work behind a busy jab that he will follow with a bruising right hand.  Along with the right hand he also has a solid left hook and he usually likes to work from the pocket where he can bang to the body.  Meanwhile, Quintero will have the experience advantage in this fight because he has faced the higher level of opposition, most recently Petr Petrov.  Quintero is a heavy handed southpaw who uses his jab as a measuring stick.  While Quintero has a pretty good right hook his best punch is definitely his straight left hand which does serious damage if it lands clean.  Quintero is the type of fighter who doesn't usually hold up well to power punches or a constant onslaught so he could find himself in trouble against Campa.  This should be a fun action fight that could just as well take place in a phone booth rather than a boxing ring.  Quintero will land his fair share of punches but Campa's body work will make a difference as he starts to slow Quintero down before stopping him in the seventh round.
