beIN Sports Espanol Quick Picks

Juarez showed his toughness against Donaire
Cesar Juarez vs. Richard Pumicpic: Boxing fans rejoice, October is almost over which means November, a month filled with fantastic fights is nearly upon us.  But before we say goodbye to the soul crushing month that has been October we have two more fights to get through, both airing on beIN Sports Espanol this Saturday.  The main event of that card will be a bout between Cesar Juarez (18-5, 14 KO) and Richard Pumicpic (18-7-2, 6 KO).  That fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior featherweight division and while neither of these fighters can be considered elite, Juarez did earn himself a lot of new fans after going to war with Nonito Donaire in 2015.  Juarez is an orthodox fighter with solid pop but not overwhelming power.  One thing Juarez has plenty of is heart.  Against Donaire he was dropped twice early and looked to be on his way out until he dug down deep and rallied during the second half of the fight.  You won't see many crisp jabs from Juarez, instead he likes to throw wild left hooks and right hands.  Although both of those punches tend to come in wide they can do damage, especially if he gets inside.  Pumicpic is also an orthodox fighter but he lacks the power that Juarez has.  Pumicpic has a good jab and a nice straight right hand and much like Juarez he isn't opposed to standing and trading heavy leather.  While not a very high profile fight this bout should be an exciting one with plenty of action.  Neither Juarez or Pumicpic has ever been knocked out but that could very well change come Saturday night.  Juarez has fought the higher level of opposition throughout his career and that will help him win this fight when he stops Pumicpic in the final round.

Garcia will look to end a four fight losing streak
Ramon Garcia vs. Israel Gonzalez: The co-feature for Saturday's fight will feature veteran Ramon Garcia (20-8-1, 12 KO) and upstart Israel Gonzalez (15-1, 5 KO).  Garcia will be looking to rebound from a recent four fight losing streak where he lost three fights by unanimous decision and was knocked out in the other, all against quality opposition.  During his career Garcia has faced some tough tests like Roman Gonzalez and Donnie Nietes but he has never done well in his step up fights.  As for Gonzalez, his career is so young that he hasn't yet had a step up fight.  Garcia is a southpaw with a decent jab and a big overhand right,  The problem for Garcia is that his hands aren't that fast and he throws looping punches.  However, if his overhand right lands it can definitely do damage.  Gonzalez is an orthodox fighter who likes to work behind a crisp one-two combination.  There is no doubt that Garcia has way more experience than Gonzalez does but Gonzalez is younger and his punches are crisper and because of that he will come away from this fight with the unanimous decision victory.
