beIN Sports Espanol Quick Picks

Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Raymond Tabugon: It has been a little over a year since Juan Francisco Estrada (33-2, 24 KO) last stepped inside the squared circle.  That drought will come to an end this Saturday on beIN Sports Espanol when Estrada takes on Raymond Tabugon (18-5-1, 8 KO).  Their fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior bantamweight division, but this fight shouldn't be much more than a tune-up for Estrada, one of the best in the sport.  Not only has Tabugon never faced any close to as good as Estrada but he is coming off a knockout loss and has been knocked out twice in his last three fights.  As for Estrada, he continues to climb his way towards a possible rematch with Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez.  Estrada is an orthodox fighter with good power for his size.  Since losing to Gonzalez in 2012, Estrada has gone 7-0 with four knockouts, all coming against quality opposition.  "El Gallo," as Estrada is known, has a quick jab that can score points and help to break down an opponents face.  However, it isn't just the jab that Estrada throws well.  He is very skilled with his right hand and will throw it as a straight punch or over the top.  When he throws that right hand straight it is more accurate but the overhand right can do serious damage, as can his left hook.  Estrada also moves well and has a good idea of what he wants to do at all times which makes him difficult to beat.  Tabugon is also an orthodox boxer but he lacks the power that makes Estrada so dangerous.  Tabugon has a pretty good jab but he can appear hesitant to punch at times.  The best punch that Tabugon throws is probably his right hand and although his left hook is pretty good, neither punch has that much behind it.  This fight will be all about Estrada.  He is expected to win big so the real question is whether or not he will stop Tabugon before the final bell.  Estrada is fast and powerful and he will spend the majority of this fight picking Tabugon apart before stopping him in the 10th round.

Emanuel Navarrette vs. Martin Casillas: Also on Saturday's beIN Sports Espanol card will be a 10-round, bantamweight fight between Emanuel Navarrette (15-1, 13 KO) and Martin Casillas (15-8-1, 9 KO).  Navarrette and Casillas couldn't be at more different places in their respective careers.  Navarrette is a young power puncher in the rise while Casillas has already pilled up eight career losses and he has gone 3-6-1 in his last 10 fights.  Really the only thing Casillas has going for him at this point of his career is the fact that he has never been knocked out but certainly the power-punching Navarrette hopes to change that.  Navarrette is an orthodox fighter with a stiff jab and he also does a nice job of turning that jab over into a hook at times.  The left hook of Navarrette is his best punch but he also has a heavy right hand that although it is wild can do damage.  Casillas is also an orthodox fighter, although one without much pop on any of his punches.  Casillas doesn't jab much and when he does he doesn't do so authoritatively.  However, he does have a decent straight right hand that can provide him with some success.  The problem with Casillas is simply that he doesn't do anything at an elite level, or even close to an elite level.  This fight should be about whether or not Navarrette can be the fist man to stop Casillas or if Casillas has enough to make it a good fight where he is standing at the final bell.  If Navarrette can hurt Casillas early in the fight and slowly break him down he could be the first man to stop him but Casillas is a tough customer and he will make it to the final bell in this fight but he will lose by the way of unanimous decision.
