Perrela will look to keep his record a perfect one
Bryant Perrella vs. Yordenis Ugas: Usually when boxing airs mid week the fighters aren't very well known.  Typically mid week fights are reserved for prospects on the rise and that will be the case this Tuesday when Bryant Perrella (14-0, 13 KO) takes on Yordenis Ugas (16-3, 7 KO).  That fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the always talent rich welterweight division.  Perrella is tall for the welterweight division and he fights out of the southpaw stance.  Perrella likes to work behind a pretty good jab and he will use that jab as a measuring stick to set up his power punches.  Those power punches come in a variety of forms and that is one thing that has made Perrella so successful.  His best punch is probably his straight left hand but he will throw that punch more overhand in close and that does damage as well.  As for the right hand Perrella has two right hooks, a short one on the inside, and one that is loopier from the outside.  Mix together Perrella's height, reach, and power and that makes him a very good looking prospect.  As for Ugas, he hails from Cuba and he has been in the squared circle with solid prospects before to varying degrees of success.  Also, Ugas doesn't fight like your typical slick Cuban counter puncher.  His footwork isn't great and he usually comes in the front door but he does move his head well to avoid punches.  Ugas works out of the orthodox stance and he has a nice jab but his other punches look forced.  His left hook is solid but not great and the same can be said for his right hand.  While neither fighter has a very impressive resume, Perrella's doesn't include any losses while Ugas has lost three times, none of which came against an elite fighter.  One problem for Ugas in this fight is the fact that he isn't a very busy puncher and he also will be at a power disadvantage against Perrella.  If Ugas can't get Perrella's respect early the younger fighter could steamroll him.  However, Ugas will do well enough to make Perrella think and while Perrella won't score the knockout he will get the unanimous decision victory.
