CBS Sports Quick Pick

Mike Lee vs. Chris Traietti: CBS Sports will have plenty of fights to keep boxing fans busy this Friday.  The network will be airing two separate cards , one from Chicago and the other from Las Vegas.  From Chicago, Mike Lee (17-0, 10 KO) will take on Chris Traietti (21-3, 17 KO) in a fight scheduled to go 10 rounds in the light heavyweight division.  This will be the first 10-round bout of Lee's career, a career whose highlight was when Lee appeared in a long running Subway sandwich commercial.  Lee, who fights out of the orthodox stance, has fought as high as the cruiserweight division but he will actually be the smaller man against Traietti who has spent most of his career in the cruiserweight division.  In fact this will be the first time Traietti's first fight as a light heavyweight since 2011.  Lee is a fighter who seems to do everything pretty good but nothing great.  While the jab of Lee is a nice punch he doesn't use it as often as he should to work his way in.  Aside from the jab Lee has a pretty good looking left hook and a very nice straight right hand, his best punch.  Traietti is also an orthodox fighter and he has not lost a fight since 2011, his last fight in the cruiserweight division.  That loss came against Edwin Rodriguez but since that loss Traietti has gone 11-0 with 11 knockouts.  While he doesn't have a very stiff jab he does have a strong straight right hand but his best punch is his left hook to the body.  Lee will have to be careful in this fight not to sit in the pocket.  If he stays in the pocket too long he will give Traietti a chance to land his powerful left hook to the body.  Yet if Lee can stay on the outside where he has room to land his own power punches he should, and will win this fight by the way of unanimous decision.
