Diaz continues to fight towards a title shot
Juan Diaz vs. Cesar Vasquez: In 2010 Juan Diaz (41-4, 20 KO) lost to Juan Manuel Marquez for the second time and retired from boxing.  After about three years Diaz decided to make his return and since returning he has gone 6-0 with three knockouts.  This Saturday on UniMas Diaz will look to run that number to seven in a row as he takes on Cesar Vasquez (27-3, 16 KO) in a 10-round bout from the lightweight division.  Diaz is an aggressive orthodox fighter who loves a good scrap.  He has a nice jab along with a good left hook and on the inside he usually puts in some good work to the body.  Vasquez is also an orthodox fighter and he has slightly more power than Diaz.  The jab of Vasquez is long but not great and his hands are pretty slow.  However, Vasquez does have a big overhand right that can do serious damage if it lands.  As long as Diaz can get on the inside and stay there he should have no problem punching between the wide shots of Vasquez as he works his way to a wide unanimous decision win.
