- It wasn't a very busy week of boxing and it wasn't a very exciting one either. The big fight from last week took place between Jamel Herring and Denis Shafikov. Herring was an undefeated prospect taking on the veteran Shafikov in the biggest test of his career. Despite being down early Herring fought on until the final round when he was stopped by Shafikov, the first loss of his career. Also on that card was a bout between Patryk Szymanski and Wilky Campfort. As many expected Szymanski had no problem handling Campfort and he won the fight via a wide unanimous decision.
- The only other fight of last week covered by Big Time Boxing took place between Oscar Negrete and Jose Bustos. The worst damage done to Negrete came from accidental headbutts and besides that he controlled the action winning the fight with a wide unanimous decision.
