PBC on FS1 Quick Pick

Breidis Prescott vs. Levan Ghvamichava: On Tuesday night the PBC will air a card on Fox Sports 1.  That card will be headlined by the power punching Breidis Prescott (29-7, 21 KO) as he takes on perhaps the hairiest man in all of sports Levan Ghvamichava (16-2-1, 12 KO).  That fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior middleweight division and could provide some fireworks since both men are strong punchers.  Prescott is an orthodox fighter who will be the taller man in the ring come Tuesday night.  While his hands aren't blazing fast they are quick and he has a nice jab.  Behind that jab Prescott will often bring his straight right hand and that is a punch that can do damage.  His best punch however is probably his left hook which can end a fight if it lands clean.  Defensively though Prescott is not great and although he has only been knocked out once in his career he has tasted the canvas a few times.  However, Prescott usually has trouble with naturally larger fighter and against Ghvamichava he won't have that problem.  Ghvamichava is coming off a loss in March to Sergey Lipinets which he lost by fifth round knockout.  Ghvamichava is also an orthodox fighter but at times he can switch to southpaw and he fights decently out of the southpaw stance.  One advantage Ghvamichava has over Prescott is the fact that he is a more accurate puncher.  Ghvamichava has a nice jab and will usually follow it with a stinging left hook to the body.  Along with those weapons Ghvamichava also has a decent right hand.  It will be interesting to see how Ghvamichava rebounds after the first knockout loss of his career, especially against a heavy hitter like Prescott.  Prescott has fought at a higher level than Ghvamichava and that will help him win this fight by the way of majority decision.
