beIN Sports Espanol Quick Picks

Carlos Ocampo vs. Ramses Agaton: Aside from the PBC card on NBC this Saturday there will also be a card on beIN Sports Espanol.  That card will be headlined by a 10-round, welterweight bout between the undefeated Carlos Ocampo (18-0, 12 KO) and Ramses Agaton (17-3-3, 9 KO).  Ocampo is young and has only been fighting professionally since 2012 so he is yet to face any top tier opponents.  However, he does have a recent win over the tough Jorge Paez Jr..  As for Agaton, he has not fared very well as of late, going 3-2 in his last five fights including losing his most recent fight to Konstantin Ponomarev.  Ocampo is an orthodox fighter who likes to put in work on the inside.  He has a strong left hook and although it can get wide at times he does find success with it.  Along with the left hook Ocampo also has a good right hand whether he throws it crooked or straight.  One punch Ocampo doesn't make much use of is his jab and that is because most of his fights take place in a phone booth and he is a skilled inside fighter.  Across the ring from Ocampo will be the southpaw Agaton.  Agaton has a decent jab but also seems to have a nervous energy in the ring.  His right hook is a good one but his best weapon may be his strong straight left hand.  The difference between these two fighters is where they like to fight from.  Agaton likes to do work from the outside where he can extend his punches and move while Ocampo prefers to fight in a phone booth.  Whoever controls the distance in this fight will probably win it and that will be Ocampo who will win by the way of  unanimous decision.

Jose Uzcategui vs. Derrick Findley: The other fight scheduled to air on beIN Sports Espanol will be a 10-round bout from the middleweight division.  That fight pits the one-loss Jose Uzcategui (24-1, 20 KO) up against Derrick Findley (23-19-1, 15 KO).  Why Findley keeps fighting is anyone's guess because in his last 20 fights he has gone 5-13-1 with one no contest.  Meanwhile, Uzcategui seems to get better with every fight and has shown some serious power.  Uzcategui is also seven years younger than the 32-year-old Findley.  One thing that won't help Findley in this fight is the fact that he stands at 5-feet 6-inches while Uzcategui is 6-feet 2-inches tall.  Uzcategui is an orthodox fighter with good pop on his punches.  He carries a long jab and likes to follow it with a strong straight right hand.  Along with those weapons Uzcategui also has a very good left hook and can drop opponents with either hand, something he showcased in his last fight against Julius Jackson who he dropped a total of four times in two rounds before the fight was ended.  Uzcategui's only loss came against the very talented Matt Korobov but since that loss he has gone 2-0 with two very early knockouts.  As for Findley he has always squared up way too much to opponents and it is surprising he has only been knocked out four times in his 19 losses.  Findley has a decent jab and he will throw a left hook but in recent fights he hasn't thrown much of anything.  Lately Findley, especially against big punchers, has fought tentatively and would probably be best served hanging up the gloves.  This fight is all about Uzcategui and he will stop Findley in the third round.
