BET Quick Pick

Dusty Hernandez-Harrison vs. Mike Dallas Jr.: Boxing will return to BET this Saturday when Dusty Hernandez-Harrison (29-0, 16 KO) takes on Mike Dallas Jr. (21-3-1, 10 KO).  The fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the welterweight division where Hernandez-Harrison is still climbing the ladder and looking to make a name for himself.  It is easy to forget that Hernandez-Harrison is still incredibly young at only 21 years old because he already has so many fights.  However, he is yet to face any real threats and hopefully in the near future his promoter, Roc Nation Sports, decide to put him in with better opposition.  As for Dallas he has faced some top opponents in Lucas Matthysse, Mauricio Herrera, and Josesito Lopez but he lost all three of those fights and Lopez and Matthysse both knocked him out, Matthysse in the very first round.  Hernandez-Harrison is tall for his division and his reach is almost unbelievable at 74-inches.  He fights out of the orthodox stance and carries a stiff jab along with a quick left hook.  Hernandez-Harrison also puts in good work with his right hand, especially when he throws uppercuts.  Dallas is also an orthodox fighter but he is much shorter than Hernandez-Harrison and also has less pop on his punches.  While the jab of Dallas is good most of his other punches are fairly wild, especially his right hand.  Dallas' best punch is his left hook which can drop opponents but he also has a bad habit of backing straight up on defense which is always a recipe to get knocked out.  Dallas may have fought the better opposition but he always seems to come up short and he will once again as Hernandez-Harrison wins this fight by the way of unanimous decision.
