- With only two notable fights last week it wasn't a very busy time in the world of boxing. Both of those fights aired on Estrella TV on Friday night. The headliner of that card was Randy Caballero and he faced off against Ruben Garcia. In that main event Caballero was able to stay undefeated as he easily handled Garcia who never answered the bell round for the eighth round. The fight was all Caballero as he dropped Garcia multiple times before forcing him to retire on his stool.
- Also on Friday's Estrella TV card was the enigmatic Frankie Gomez who is very talented but has been hampered by issues outside of the squared circle. Gomez took on veteran Silverio Ortiz and really put a beating on him over the course of the 12-round fight. Ortiz was able to catch Gomez a few times but never could put enough together to slow down the younger, stronger fighter. With the win Gomez remained perfect in the ring and if he stays in shape he could have some big fights down the line.
