PBC on FS1 Quick Pick

Jamal James vs. Javier Molina: Tonight's PBC card on Fox Sports 1 will have fans on the East Coast staying up late because the card doesn't start until 11 at night.  The main event of that card will feature two fighters with only one loss between them in Jamal James (18-0, 9 KO) and Javier Molina (17-1, 8 KO).  The pugilists are scheduled to go 10 rounds in the welterweight division and it will be a big opportunity for the relatively unknown fighters.  Both fighters are also both fairly new to going 10 rounds.  James has been scheduled to go 10 rounds twice, but only one of those fights went the distance while Molina has only been scheduled for 10 once and that fight ended in the seventh round.  James is very tall for the welterweight division, standing at 6-foot-2.  James has the Tommy Hearns frame but not the power.  The lanky welterweight fights out of the orthodox stance and although his hands aren't very fast he has long arms and has shown a quality jab and a solid straight right hand.  James is 27-years-old and has never fought anyone of note so there is no telling how good he actually is but his chin has been a question mark and he has been dropped a few times during his career.  Molina is also an orthodox fighter and he may have trouble getting inside on James because he is only 5-foot-9.  Like James, Molina has also never fought anyone of note and he too lacks any serious power.  Molina does have fast hands than James and his left hook is a nice weapon, although his right hand tends to get a little wild.  While James like to use his reach to fight from the outside Molina likes to get in close and bang the body so whoever controls the distance in this bout should come away the winner.  Controlling the distance for Molina will be difficult because he may need to eat a lot of jabs and straight right hands to get in close.  James won't blow Molina away but his height and reach will help him win this fight by the way of unanimous decision.
