Telemundo Quick Pick

Carmona already has a win over Rodriguez
David Carmona vs. Ricardo Rodriguez: On Friday night Telemundo will bring fans a rematch between two young Mexican fighters.  Those fighters are David Carmona (19-2-5, 8 KO) and Ricardo Rodriguez (12-2, 4 KO) and they are scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior bantamweight division.  Carmona and Rodriguez should be very familiar with each other considering they fought back in 2014 with Carmona coming away with the unanimous decision win.  Since that win Carmona has gone 2-0-1 and Rodriguez has gone 3-0 with both fighters scoring wins over Daniel Lozano, Carmona by unanimous decision and Rodriguez by majority decision.  This should be a fun fight because both men like to mix it up.  Carmona has a quality jab and a good short left hook out of the orthodox stance while Rodriguez, who is also an orthodox fighter has a nice left hook and straight right hand.  Rodriguez will also switch up and fight as a southpaw at times and he gave Carmona problems in their first fight when he did that.  However, Carmona moves better in the ring and was able to catch Rodriguez with the cleaner punches.  This rematch should be very similar to their first fight since that fight happened so recently.  If each fighter knows what the other one likes to do than the outcome should be the same, a win for Carmona, although this time it will be by the way of majority decision.
