Jose Felix Jr. vs. Marcos Jimenez: On Saturday night young prospect Jose Felix Jr. (30-1-1, 24 KO) will make his third trip to the ring this year, having already gone 2-0 with one knockout.  His opponent for what is scheduled to be a 10-round fight in the lightweight division is Marcos Jimenez (20-5, 13 KO).  Felix, who fights out of the orthodox stance, has tested himself against a few decent opponents, and took on veteran Yakubu Amidu in his last bout.  Jimenez, who is also an orthodox fighter has faced some good opponents but usually is brought in as an opponent for a prospect to test himself against, like Diego Magdaleno did when he beat Jimenez in 2011.  Jimenez's last bout was against the talented, but not very busy, Anthony Peterson, a fight Jimenez also lost.  Felix has fast hands and that speed helps him land a crisp jab and stiff straight right hand.  Felix will often double, and even triple up his jab and he also has a nice looking short left hook that he bangs beautifully to the body.  Jimenez is also an orthodox fighter and while he has decent pop on his punches he has also been knocked out three times in his five career losses and is only 6-4 in his last 10 bouts.  In ways Jimenez almost resembles a poor man's version of Felix because he also likes to work his jab and straight right hand, but he doesn't have the fast hands that Felix does.  Jimenez has also been very inactive recently, fighting only once in 2011, once in 2012, twice in 2013, once in 2014, and he has had no fights at all this year.  Also, Jimenez isn't very busy with his punches and besides his jab and straight right hand his only other weapon is a looping left hook.  It seems that Jimenez is being brought in for Felix to look good against and that is exactly what should happen.  This fight is scheduled to go 10 rounds but it will only go 6 because Felix will win it with a knockout.
