Top 10 P4P Rankings

# 1   Floyd Mayweather (48-0, 26 KO)
It was supposed to be the fight of the 21st century, instead it was another night of easy work for Mayweather.  Mayweather dominated Manny Pacquiao over the course of 12 rounds to solidify his spot as the top ranked pound for pound fighter in the world and the best fighter of his generation.

# 2   Guillermo Rigondeaux (15-0, 10 KO)
Rigondeaux hasn't had a high level fight since he put on a masterclass in boxing against Nonito Donaire.  That isn't Rigondeaux's fault though, in a crowded division it seems that no one wants to face him.  That is probably because Rigondeaux is so good at making opponents look so bad.  Still Rigondeaux is an amazingly talented fighter who deserves a big stage to ply his craft.

# 3   Wladimir Klitschko (64-3, 53 KO)
Klitschko easily handled American contender Bryant Jennings in his most recent bout, but he didn't look spectacular doing so.  Still, Klitschko was able to get the job done as usual and it looks like his next fight will be against the trash talking Tyson Fury.  While that fight would be a good one most fans in the U.S. are still hoping to see Klitschko face off against Deontay Wilder.

# 4   Roman Gonzalez (43-0, 37 KO)
In Gonzalez's most recent fight he looked unbelievable.  Gonzalez made his HBO debut against skilled veteran Edgar Sosa and dropped him three times in the 2nd round to get the stoppage victory.  While there are a few big names looming for Gonzalez it appears at the moment that he is close to unbeatable and with more appearances on HBO his legend will continue to grow.

# 5   Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KO)
If there is someone to blame for the lack of excitement in the Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fight that blame has to fall on Pacquiao.  Pacquiao was made to look pedestrian by the defensive genius that is Mayweather and blamed his performance on a shoulder injury after his loss.  While Pacquiao will need some time to recover look for a rematch with Mayweather to happen sometime in 2016.

# 6   Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40 KO)
It has now been one year since Marquez last fought.  If that inactivity wasn't injury related Marquez would have been removed from the rankings, but his inactivity is due to a knee injury and a fighter can't be removed from the rankings due to injury.  Now it looks like Marquez is ready for a farewell fight and names like Amir Khan and Kell Brook have been swirling around as has a rematch with Floyd Mayweather that absolutely no one wants to see.

# 7   Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO)
Golovkin was once again his destructive self when he took on challenger Willie Monroe Jr.  Golovkin was able to drop Monroe three times before stopping him in the 6th round.  There still doesn't seem to be a top fighter at 160 lbs. willing to get in the ring with Golovkin but rumors of a bout with super middleweight Carl Froch have begun to heat up.

# 8   Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12 KO)
If it wasn't for an impressive win over Juan Manuel Marquez then Bradley would be in a lot of trouble.  You can make the argument that Bradley lost his first fight to Manny Pacquiao then lost to Ruslan Provodnikov.  Then after beating Marquez he lost to Pacquiao and had a draw against Diego Chaves in a fight most thought he won.  Bradley will need to look good next month when he takes on the undefeated Jessie Vargas.

# 9   Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32 KO)
After almost a year to the day of his last fight Cotto will make his ring return against legitimate middleweight Daniel Geale.  Going up against a true middleweight without any injuries will be important for Cotto, especially if rumors about him verbally agreeing to fight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez next ring true.

# 10  Sergey Kovalev (27-0-1, 24 KO)
Kovalev's next fight is set and most fans are not very happy.  Instead of facing fellow light heavyweight titlist Adonis Stevenson, Kovalev will take on mandatory challenger Nadjiib Mohammedi in July.  While it appears that the fight against Stevenson may never happen, at least not in the near future, Kovalev is still an excellent fighter who will only continue to climb the pound for pound rankings.
