Prieto's last fight did not end well for him
Javier Prieto vs. Jorge Silva: With a very busy Saturday of boxing certain fights and bound to get overlooked.  If you plan on missing any fights this weekend its safe to say the one to miss is Fox Deporte's main event between Javier Prieto (24-8-2, 18 KO) and Jorge Silva (20-7-2, 16 KO).  That bout is scheduled to go 10 rounds in the welterweight division but could end much earlier since neither fighter has a good chin.  Prieto is coming off of a 4th round knockout loss to Jorge Linares and had two draws before that.  Silva hasn't faired much better and has lost four fights in a row including his last three by stoppage.  Go back a little further and things don't get better, Silva has gone 3-6-1 in his past ten bouts.  Prieto is an orthodox fighter who likes to work his jab and left hook but who doesn't stay home defensively and is wide open for counters.  He also throws a right hand but it is very wild and usually misses.  However, when Prieto throws his right hand straight he can find some success with it.  Silva is also an orthodox fighter and will have the hand speed advantage although he will also be the smaller man.  One problem Silva has, besides his weak chin, is the fact that he will try to throw punches from too far away and pay the price for it.  This will be somewhat sloppy fight but the man with the better chin of the two, which is Prieto, will win.  Don't be mistaken, they both have horrible chins, but Prieto's is slightly better and he will win the fight by the way of 8th round stoppage.
