Garcia will look to keep his perfect record intact

Horacio Garcia vs. Jose Torres: It will be a busy night of boxing with three separate cards in the works.  One to look out for is on tonight's Fox Deportes card which will probably be just a showcase for the young, talented Horacio Garcia (28-0, 20 KO).  Garcia will be taking on Jose Torres (13-6, 1 KO) in a 10 round junior featherweight fight.  One reason this might just be a showcase fight for Garcia is that Torres has been knocked out twice in his six losses, has absolutely no power, and is 4-6 in his last ten fights.  Garcia is a strong orthodox fighter who uses a stiff jab to set up a nice straight right hand, a punch his likes to stick to the belly.  Garcia's right hand is his heaviest punch but his left hook is nothing to sleep on either.  While he hasn't faced any true top competition yet he is only 24 years old and still on the rise.  As for Torres he is also a young orthodox fighter at only 23 years old but doesn't seem to be anywhere near the level that Garcia is.  Torres uses his jab a lot but he gets countered constantly.  He also tends to get very wild with his left hook and although he has a decent right hand there just isn't enough power behind any of his punches to really bother Garcia.  This fight will be all Garcia as he gets the win via 5th round stoppage.
