Fox Sports 1 Quick Pick

Rocky Jaurez vs. Robinson Castellanos: Usually when a main event features two fighters with a combined twenty losses it doesn't garner much excitement.  Yet Monday's Fox Sports 1 main event should bring plenty of excitement when Rocky Juarez (30-10-1, 21 KO) faces off against Robinson Castellanos (20-10, 13 KO).  The two brawlers are scheduled to go 12 rounds and the fight will be a WBC featherweight title eliminator.  Juarez is an orthodox fighter with a sneaky jab who loves to fight on the inside.  While Juarez's defense doesn't always look great he does actually move his head pretty well and his ability to parry punches is an asset.  Juarez is a good body puncher and does his best work from the pocket where he can land his overhand right or left hook.  One advantage Juarez has on Castellanos is his experience.  Castellanos has fought a few notable fighters but Juarez has fought some of the best including Jorge Linares, Chris John, and Juan Manuel Marquez.  Yet Juarez has also recently lost six fights in a row and in his lat ten fights he has gone 3-6-1.  Castellanos is also an orthodox fighter with an awkward style.  He tends to throw a lot of straight right hands mixed in with jabs but his punches will sometimes get wild.  When he gets in close he usually opens up wider, especially with his right hand.  Also in ten losses Castellanos has been knocked out five while Juarez has never been stopped.  This should be a hard fought, entertaining fight but it will be the experience and chin of Juarez that prevail and he will win the fight via 10th round stoppage.
