Telemundo Quick Pick

Daniel Lozano vs. Jonathan Vidal: Tonight isn't just the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur it is also fight night.  Tonight on Telemundo will be a main event with two very evenly matched fighters in Daniel Lozano (12-1, 9 KO) and Jonathan Vidal (18-2, 10 KO).  The two pugilists are scheduled to go 10 rounds in the junior bantamweight division and should provide fans with some good action.  Lozano is an orthodox fighter with a nice jab but he definitely has his flaws.  When he throws his straight right hand he tends to fall in with the punch which leaves him exposed to get countered.  He also doesn't have great defense and takes a lot of clean punches upstairs.  Lozano does have a strong left hook in his arsenal of weapons and he moves around the ring pretty well.  However he also seems to go through spells of mental lapses where he stands flat and doesn't throw many punches.  Vidal also has a nice jab from the orthodox stance and his straight right hand is much more technically sound than Lozano's is.  While Vidal's left hook is alright he throws his right hand very well especially when he brings it to the body.  Defense is also a problem for Vidal and he will often go straight back in retreat which is a good way to get yourself knocked out.  Because these two fighters are so similar and evenly matched it should provide fans with a fun fight but it will be Vidal who gets the better of the action and he will win by the way of unanimous decision in a close fight.
