beIn Sports Espanol Quick Pick

Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Giovani Segura: Boxing fans rejoice, there is a new player in the game.  A relatively new network by the name of beIn Sports Espanol has decided to join the mix of other networks which regularly air fights.  The network could not have picked a better fight to really announce their presence in the sport.  This Saturday they will put on a card headlined by two of the best flyweights in the world.  The man bringing the belts into the ring will be Juan Francisco Estrada (26-2, 19 KO) and he will be challenged by the always exciting Giovani Segura (32-3-1, 28 KO) in a 12 round flyweight bout for Estrada's WBO & WBA titles.  Estrada really made his name when he beat longtime kingpin of the flyweight division Brian Viloria in 2013 and has picked up two wins since then.  Estrada is a slick orthodox fighter who moves around the ring very well.  He also has incredibly fast hands which allows him to throw and land a ton of clean combinations.  Estrada likes to get inside and land his impressive combinations and then move out of danger with his nice footwork.  He also will throw punches from awkward angles which makes him tough on any opponent.  Another thing that makes Estrada so dangerous is the fact that he is so talented with both hands.  He throws a very nice left hook to the body and a deadly straight right hand upstairs.  While Estrada does have good footwork he won't shy away from a brawl, something Segura is always up for.  Not many fighters have been as exciting as Segura the past few years.  His 2013 fight against Hernan "Tyson" Marquez won honorable mention for Big Time Boxing's 2013 Fight of the Year and his fight earlier this year against Felipe Salguero is a candidate for 2014 Fight of the Year.  While Estrada usually shows good lateral movement the only moving that Segura's feet do is straight forward.  He is a pressure fighter who loves to do battle on the inside.  Segura also happens to be one of the heaviest hitters in the sport, something rare for such a small fighter.  The power punching Segura is a southpaw and goes to the body as well as anyone in boxing.  One thing to watch out for is a clash of heads since it will be an orthodox fighter against a southpaw and the action should be taking place on the inside.  Estrada has the faster hands and better footwork so look for him to use his jab to keep Segura at bay where he can touch him up with nice combinations.  Segura will certainly try to get in the pocket and stay there so he can wear down Estrada with heavy work to the body.  If Segura can put in some early body work on Estrada he may be able to slow him down and stop him late but Estrada should be just a bit to fast for Segura which is why he will win this fight by the way of unanimous decision.
