Jay-Z has been a kingpin of the hip-hop world for a long time now. However in recent years he has turned his attention to the sports world creating an agency known as Roc Nation Sports. Roc Nation Sports already has clients in the NFL, NBA, and MLB and now they are turning their attention to the world of boxing. While they have not yet signed any fighters they do seem to be off to a good start, they have tabbed former Golden Boy Promotion chief operating officer David Itskowitch to the same position and already gotten their promoters license in New York and Washington, D.C.. Roc Nation Sports also made a big splash recently when they unexpectedly won the purse bid for the promotional rights to a fight between middleweight champion Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin and Matt Korobov. Roc Nation Sports outbid both of the fighters respective promotional companies in Golden Boy and Top Rank and has definitely announced their presence with authority.
