Cano is in need of an impressive win
Pablo Cesar Cano vs. Fernando Angulo: Most big time boxing fans will be tuning in to HBO to watch Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. take on Brian Vera this Saturday.  But another good fight flying under the radar is Pablo Cesar Cano (27-3-1, 20 KO) taking on Fernando Angulo (26-9, 15 KO) in a 10 round welterweight bout.  Cano is well known by boxing fans and has been in many big fights against the likes of Erik Morales, Paulie Malignaggi, and Shane Mosley.  Cano lost all of those fights but gained valuable experience.  His last fight came in September against Ashley Theophane on the Floyd Mayweather undercard and he won a close fight via split decision.  One thing is certain about Cano, he is fun to watch.  Cano has a fan friendly style that sees him come forward and throw a lot of punches, while taking a lot of return fire.  He has been in many wars throughout his career and now is in need of a decisive win.  He is 1-2 in his last three fights and all of those fights have been very close.  A clear cut win of Angulo would be very beneficial to his career.  Angulo has a much different style than Cano.  Angulo uses somewhat of a poor man's version of the philly shell and doesn't throw nearly as many punches as Cano typically does.  Instead Angulo is like a lion slowly stalking its prey.  He comes forward constantly but he does so at a very measured pace.  Instead of throwing punches in bunches Angulo likes to pick his spots to land his big right hand.  While Angulo's resume isn't a star studded as Cano's he has fought Juan Diaz and Jonathan Maicelo when he was still a top prospect, unfortunately Angulo lost both of those bouts.  This fight should be a good one because both fighters will be on the attack but will be doing so in very different ways.  While Angulo has 9 losses only 1 of those was by knockout and that came back in 2002, Cano was also only stopped once and that came in 2011 against Morales.  However both fighters have had to get up off the canvas in fights so it isn't out of the question that fans see that again in this fight.  Cano seems like a fighter who is always in close fights that can go either way but I expect him to win this fight by the way of unanimous decision in a very exciting bout.
