Fox Sports 1 Quick Pick

Antonio Orozco vs. Miguel Angel Huerta: This Friday is unusually packed with three separate fight cards taking place around the country.  So it's probably a good thing for fans trying to catch every fight that not all of them go the distance.  One man who isn't looking to go a full 10 rounds is Antonio Orozco (18-0, 14 KO) as he takes on veteran journeyman Miguel Angel Huerta (27-11-1, 18 KO) in a 10 round bout in the junior welterweight division.  Orozco is the man to watch in this fight, he is 26 years old and is rising through the ranks of the division.  Thus far Orozco has made his name as an exciting offensive fighter but his defense is what may get him to that next level.  While his offense will earn him fans and get him fights on television it is his defense that may carry him to championship level fights.  If Orozco is on the rise it is pretty clear that Huerta is on the decline.  Huerta is 35 years old and before fighting one time in 2013 he hadn't fought since 2008 and in his last five fights he is 2-3 including a TKO loss to Mike Alvarado.  At this point in Huerta's career he is the perfect stepping stone for a younger prospect type fighter.  Huerta has some pop on his punches but not enough that you really have to worry about it and he also has a bad chin.  In Huerta's 11 losses 6 of them have been by knockout.  At this point Huerta is a fighter you can line up against a good prospect trying to look impressive and he probably will.  Orozco looks like he may be the real deal and he should be able to easily handle Huerta on his way to bigger fights.  I expect Orozco to win this fight very easily and knock Huerta out in the 4th round.
