BREAKING NEWS

Canelo is still a huge draw even coming off a loss
For a few weeks now there have been rumors about who Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will fight next.  Golden Boy Promotions and Showtime have already announced his next fight would be on March 8th on PPV and now his opponent is also set.  Alvarez will be fighting fellow Mexican slugger Alfredo "Perro" Angulo.  Alvarez is coming off a loss to Floyd Mayweather while Angulo is coming off a loss and bad injury to his eye against Erislandy Lara.  That shouldn't deter fans from buying this PPV though because it should be an all-action slugfest and certainly fans from Mexico will tune in.  Also, Golden Boy chief executive Richard Schaefer has said he hopes to make this card a special one.  Along with the main event he hopes to add fights between Leo Santa Cruz and Cristian Mijares, Omar Figueroa and Ricardo Alvarez.  And to open the PPV card he hopes to pit Nihito Arakawa against Jorge Linares.  If Schaefer can make all these fights happen it would continue the trend of Golden Boy and Showtime putting on PPV cards that are stacked from top to bottom.
Hopefully Angulo's eye fracture is fully healed
