| Rodriguez today at the weigh in |
Andre Ward and Edwin Rodriguez were supposed to fight this Saturday night for the super middleweight championship. Well, that fight will still go on but now only one man can be crowned champion, Ward. Rodriguez failed to make weight, coming in 2 pounds over the 168 pound limit. Rodriguez will now have to weigh-in again Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and can't weigh more than 180 pounds. This is very surprising for the always professional Rodriguez and also very disappointing considering that this is the biggest fight of his career.
