Matthew "Magic" Hatton a journeyman boxer and younger brother of Ricky Hatton has announced his retirement today. Hatton held a career record of 43-7-2 with 17 knockouts. Perhaps his most memorable moment in the ring came when he fought Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and showed the world how much heart he had. He lost that fight but earned a lot of new fans with such a gutsy performance. Hatton wasn't the best fighter in the world but he always left it all in the ring and should be proud of that.
