| What fight was she watching? |
Now infamous boxing judge C.J. Ross has stepped away from the sport.  Ross told Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer that she will be taking a leave of absence saying, "I will be taking some time off from boxing but will keep in touch."  Hopefully what Ross means by "some time" is forever.  Things came to a head when Ross scored Saturday's fight between Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez a draw 114-114, a fight that saw Mayweather win every round.  Ross also took some heat when he gave Timothy Bradley a win over Manny Pacquiao in June of 2012.  Ross scored that fight 115-113 for Bradley and was bashed for it.  While that score was bad the fight was hard to score and many people had Pacquiao winning by a very slim margin or even a draw.  Hopefully the sport can continue to rid itself of inept judging.
