Apparently the build up to what could be one of the biggest fights of all-time between Floyd Mayweather and
Canelo Alvarez has taken its toll on Oscar De La Hoya. De La Hoya who
is the president of Golden Boy Promotions and a former 10-time world
champion has announced today that he has voluntarily checked himself
into rehab to deal with his substance abuse issues. De La Hoya is an
admitted alcoholic and has also had problems with cocaine. Because he
will be in rehab De La Hoya will not be in attendance for the mega
fight.
