Infamous boxer Tommy Morrison has died today at the age of 44 at a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Morrison was a former heavyweight champion of the world and also appeared in the film Rocky V as "Tommy Gunn" a young boxer who was trained by Rocky. Morrison had a good career with a record of 48-3-1 with 42 knockouts, his biggest win coming against George Foreman in 1993. His career came to a halt in 1996 when he tested positive for HIV, a test that Morrison had always claimed was a false positive. Morrison was privately tested numerous times over the years saying that all tests were negative for HIV and he even made a comeback to the ring for two fights, one in 2007 and the other in 2008. Just before his HIV diagnosis Morrison signed a three fight 38.5 million dollar deal with Don King, a deal that would have had Morrison fight Mike Tyson in the third fight. Of course that all came to an end with his positive HIV diagnosis. There is no official cause of death at this time.
