Well, that didn't take long. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. whose fight against Brian Vera on September 7th was postponed due to a cut suffered by Chavez Jr. has been officially rescheduled for September 28th. That should be a very good night for HBO which will be airing a split-site doubleheader. The other fight on the doubleheader will be a bout between Adonis Stevenson and Tavoris Cloud which was already slated for that night. The fact that the fight was rescheduled for only three weeks after its original date will probably raise some eyebrows. The fight was postponed due to a cut suffered by Chavez Jr. however it was widely speculated that Chavez Jr. was having a very difficult time making weight and that this minor cut was a perfect excuse to delay the fight and save face.
