When middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. steps back into the ring on September 7th against Brian Vera he will no longer have Freddie Roach in his corner. Instead Chavez Jr. will have a very familiar face as his trainer for that fight, his father, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.. Chavez Sr. has long been a pseudo trainer to his son which sometimes caused conflict with Chavez Jr.'s trainers and also put extra pressure on Chavez Jr. to listen to two voices. Fans won't know until September if this is a good fit for Chavez Jr. but one thing is for certain, it will be entertaining while it lasts.
