BREAKING NEWS

On September 14th Floyd Mayweather will be taking on Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, in a fight that will challenge the record for all-time PPV buys set when Mayweather fought Oscar De La Hoya.  This of course is not breaking news.  The news is that a fight people were already prepared to buy just added some muscle to the undercard.  Today Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer announced that a fight between Danny Garcia and Lucas Matthysse will be featured on the card.  This should give the PPV a huge boost coming off the heels of Mayweather's last PPV against Robert Guerrero that did disappointing numbers.  Garcia and Matthysse are the two best junior welterweights on the planet and both have earned reputations as all action sluggers who always look for a knockout.  Adding this fight to an already intriguing card should allow this PPV to not only challenge the all-time "buys" record, but possibly blow it out of the water.  What other fights will appear on this card remains to be seen but paying $70 for just these two fights should be well worth it for the fans.
